Yacht Sailing Expedition

Sailing is a unique sport and an extraordinary life style to most of the people. In this program, you will have a chance to taste this kind of life style - simple life, work together, following the environment, and make new friends. You will live together with the other 10 persons on a sailboat for 2 days. Everyone need to share the responsibilities: sail the boat, on watch, cooking, and cleaning. Your reward will be the spectacular view of the nature environment, the feeling of working with the wind, enjoy the solitude time, sharing life stories, and making new friends.

The course will cover all the basic essential sailing skills such as sail handling, boat trimming, steering, navigation, points of sailing, and rope works.  It will also provide the live-on-board experience for the participants.  The CSE will be working with the Life front-Line Sailing Ministry.   Life Front-Line Sailing Ministry is the only sail training organization provides Christian based sailing training in the Asia region.

Remarks: This is a sail boat (not a cruise) with very primitive facilities.  Participants have to arrnage the meals/ food and transportation to the gathering site on their own with the guidelines provided by the course instructor in the briefing session.

Route description:This is a classic route of a 2-day sailing voyage in Sai Kung sea. With many costal features such as sea caves, sea arch, remote islands, and the spectacular rocky shore of the Hong Kong Geopark.

Prerequisite:

· Participants must be confident in water with buoyancy aid.
· Participants must attend the briefing session.

Sport Climbing Elementary Certificate Course

This course follows the syllabus of the Sport Climbing Elementary Course of China Hong Kong Mountaineering and Climbing Union (CHKMCU).  Course content includes basic climbing techniques and use of artificial climbing holds. Belaying method and safety measure will also be introduced. Participants will learn to use climbing equipment including climbing rope, harness, belaying device and karabiners.  Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the certificate from CHKMCU.

Adventure Hike

The program is suitable for individuals with some experience of hiking who would like to have more adventurous hiking experience.  In this programme, participants will be hiking and scrambling with the guiding of the experienced instructors in one of the most famous stream in Lantau Island.  Participants will acquire basic rock climbing and protection techniques during the journey.  Details will be provided before the programme.

Tree Climbing Course

This course is designed for those who want to learn tree climbing.  The course will follow the syllabus of the Elementary Level of International Tree Climbing Association.  Participants will learn the fundamental knowledge of tree climbing and the tree climbing skills including vertical ascent, use of tree climbing equipment, knots and etc.

Participants will learn to use climbing equipment including climbing rope, harness, belaying device and karabiners.  Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the certificate from International Tree Climbing Association.
